Political cynicism in South Korea: economics or values?

In this study we aimed to explain the underlying causes of the decade-long process of losing faith in government and many major institutions that has taken place in South Korea (hereinafter referred to only as Korea). We can locate our work within the context of the renewed interest in the two competing explanations for political cynicism: (1) economic self-interest and value aspects.
