South Korea -- The Fair Trade Commission of South Korea has launched a preliminary investigation into possible price collusion among gasoline stations, the Asia Pulse reported in November.
The FTC action came as gasoline prices remained almost unchanged despite the fall in international oil prices. The FTC has been gathering data on retail prices for petroleum products at gasoline stations and other distribution channels. An FTC source said the government is gathering evidence to file collusion charges since consumer complaints have emerged as an issue.
