We're working in an exciting time in the web world--exciting not only because of the amazing tools and services we can now offer our users but also because we have several decades of reliable research in usability, interface design, and human-computer interaction at libraries upon which to draw. Many of the questions we wrestled with when designing early iterations of our websites have been answered. We have research that strongly suggests one option over another.
