Pre-Christmas raids by FACT, England's anti-piracy commission closed down a major illegal VHS duplicating plant in Scotland, British trade magazine Home Entertainment Week reported. The commission had halted most DVD piracy in Scotland earlier in the year, the story reported. Shortly before the holidays FACT shut down a VHS operation in Scotland that had been supplying pirated VHS copies to the Glasgow black market.

Officers discovered 7,000-10,000 counterfeit VHS copies of movies including Harry Potter, Moulin Rouge, and others.
