John Bain has traveled from the Big Spin of the California Lottery to the nude exercise-video genre. So which is the bigger gamble? Bain seems to prefer his current niche. Back in 1988, Bain was producer of the TV show that broadcast the lottery's Big Spin every week. "We went from no ratings at all to occasionally beating 'Wheel of Fortune' during the same time period," Bain said.
Bain then went to Playboy Enterprises and began producing videos for that empire before learning a few things for projects of his own. "I started with Sexy Cycle Workout in 1992," he said.
