Choir sings, Cronkite narrates story of Christmas truce.(Religion & Spirituality)

Christmas 1914, across hundreds of miles of barbed-wire trenches in Europe, thousands of troops, on both sides, spontaneously ended the shooting for a few days and joined each other across no-man's land, the space between the trenches. They sang, swapped gifts, buried their dead and prayed together.

It's a miracle that is immortalized in song and words in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert and reading on the recently released video Silent Night, Holy Night (DVD $16.95, VHS $15.95). The video is available online and at mormontabernaclechoir.org. In the Christmas concert, the legendary all-volunteer choir performs such standards as "White Christmas" as well as classic carols, and Walter Cronkite reads a story written for the concert about the truce....
