This has been a pretty good year for upgrading older PCs. Back in the March 2000 issue, we covered replacing an original Pentium processor with an MMX-enabled CPU that was three or four times faster. More recently, we looked at the possibility of replacing a Pentium II or Celeron with a Pentium Ill.
