Rehab with a view. That's the idea behind Promises Malibu, the sprawling, manicured treatment center for chemical addiction crouched high above the Pacific in the sunbaked Santa Monica Mountains. Boasting a four-star location, swimming pool, tennis courts, lobster entrees and spalike levels of staff attention--not to mention a celebrity clientele that has included Ben Affleck, Robert Downey Jr., Matthew Perry and Charlie Sheen--Promises is easily the country's most luxurious and high-powered center for substance-abuse rehabilitation.
