Fashion is a world of celebrity, its most high-profile participants as famous as the movie stars and supermodels they dress. But with multiple seasons, lines and product categories to deal with, no single designer whose name graces a label could possibly handle or even oversee the massive amount of creative work produced by a major house. Behind the scenes, an anonymous subculture exists, filled with all kinds of people who get the work done, who realize the primary designer's vision and package it for the world.
