Two years ago, the apartment was purchased by financier Stephen Schwartzman and his wife, Christine, for $37 million, and since then, jealous New Yorkers have been waiting with fangs protracted to see what they'd do with it. Well, the wait is over: Guests at Christine's December party for the christening of socialite Kalliope Karella's son, Brando, got a first look-and the apartment is, by all accounts, a winner.
