Wow! I'm sure that I'm not the first reader of W to use that word when describing the 44-page layout of Madonna, shot by Steven Klein (April).
I was not surprised by the brilliance of the images, since I've come to expect nothing less from Madonna I was, however, struck by the mix of images presented. They were beautiful, vulnerable, alluring, weird, experimental, surreal, dark and sexy all at once. This is the 20th year of Madonna's career, and she still holds our attention with her beauty, talent and brains. I can't wait to hear American Life.
