It's a good month for the underwear business. First, following its acquisition by Phillips-Van Heusen last year, Calvin Klein Inc. is embarking on several new growth plans that include a renewed emphasis on its underwear business, licensed by the Warnaco Group. Warnaco is planning a national rollout of an underwear-only retail concept--the first outpost opened recently at 104 Prince Street in New York's SoHo district--to highlight its entire offering of undies, including its latest Pro Stretch label.
Warnaco is now looking to convert several of its own Speedo swimwear stores around the country into Calvin Klein shops as well. Meanwhile, on the West Coast, Heidi Fleiss is once again in business as the Hollywood Madam, only this time it's the name of her new...
