The life of Bryan: designer Bryan Bradley brings a fresh spirit to Tuleh with a hit fall collection.(Fashion Flash)

On a mild Saturday morning in early February, an air of calm greets visitors to Bryan Bradley's Chrystie Street design atelier. The creative force behind Tuleh is putting the final touches on his fall collection, which he is to present in the tents of New York's Bryant Park the following day. Other fashion showrooms may be buzzing with sample-bearing assistants, harried seamstresses and designer tantrums at around this time, but Bradley's work, for the most part, seems completed. Clothing samples already styled into ensembles hang neatly on a rack against a soft wall onto which he has pinned handwritten quips, such as "She sleeps alone, reads Rilke (seriously), walks in the rain, and is always asking you to explain things to her.... I hate her."
