CLEVELAND -- Valeria Stansfield, category manager for Rite Aid Corp., will receive this year's PROFESSIONAL CANDY BUYER OF THE YEAR AWARD.
Stansfield is the first person to be honored twice with a PROFESSIONAL CANDY BUYER award. In 1994, the awards' inaugural year, she was presented an Outstanding Achievement Award for her work as senior candy buyer at now-defunct drug chain Revco D.S., Inc.
This year, Outstanding Achievement Awards will be presented to Tom Yarrows, grocery category manager for the Connecticut and Massachusetts grocery chain Big Y Foods, Inc., and Tim Nygren, director of merchandising for national vending distributor Vistar/VSA.
