Kraft Fruit Snacks line goes to Kellogg.(NEWS & TRENDS)(Brief Article)

NORTHFIELD, IL -- The Kellogg Co. is buying Kraft Foods Inc.'s fruit snack brands and production facility for about $30 million. According to Kraft, the sale is part of ongoing efforts to improve its competitive position. The sale includes the company's 31st Street production facility in Chicago, and "virtually all" of the plant's 400 employees are expected to join Kellogg, according to Kraft.

The purchase, which includes Kraft's Nickelodeon Fruit Snacks, is expected to close in June.
