Under a new guarantee, all Xerox office equipment purchased after Sept. 5, 1990, is automatically covered under an unprecedented warranty that lets buyers return unsatisfactory products and receive an identical or comparable replacement unit.

Xerox, a 1989 recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, announced the three-year Total Satisfaction Guarantee at a recent press conference, where it also introduced two low-volume copiers.

The Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee is based solely on the customer's level of satisfaction with Xerox equipment.
