DuPont will spend $275 million on a new Teflon development and manufacturing facility near Fayetteville, N.C., over the next seven years. Construction of a pilot development facility has begun already, with production scheduled for late 2000, says Janet Waters, plant manager of the Fayetteville fluoropolymers facility.
