Spending on copier-based MFPs tops $1 billion--and is growing.(multifunction products)(Statistical Data Included)

OEMs are introducing copier-based multifunction products, seemingly in droves. But are corporate purchasing managers buying the devices? According to Dataquest, they are warming up to the technology. Shipments of digital copiers equipped to handle computer printing jumped 166% in 1998, with end-user spending of $1.3 billion, says the market research arm of GartnerGroup.
