Worldwide online travel sales will increase sixfold to $30 billion in 2001, from $5 billion in 1999, according to a Gartner Group forecast, which sees increased use by business travelers. Lou Marcoccio, research director for Gartner Group's e-Business Transformation service, sees frequent fliers joining tourists in looking up travel information on the Web and seeking discounts offered by Internet services.
