In recent years, customers have been expecting contract manufacturers (CMs) to expand their manufacturing capabilities. More recently, there has been an additional expectation to expand their supply chain management expertise. For example, many customers want to be able to turn a product over to a CM at one location and have them arrange for production at two or more of their sites worldwide.
