* Global business-to-business electronic commerce will grow 83% this year to $516 billion from $282 billion in 2000, according to market researcher IDC. Total value of goods and services purchased worldwide by businesses will grow 78% to $916 billion in 2002. "While overall purchasing may diminish or remain flat, the percentage purchased via online solutions will continue to increase at a significant rate," says analyst Richard Villars.
He forecasts that global B2B e-commerce will pass $4 trillion in 2005.
