Avnet, ITT Cannon mark 50-year relationship. (Salute to Suppliers).

Electronics distributor Avnet has relationships with about 200 suppliers and many of them are long term. However, none are longer term than the 50-year relationship Avnet has with ITT Industries, Cannon connector group.
Avnet's IP&E group, formerly Avnet Kent, has been carrying ITT connector products continuously since 1952. "I don't know of any other distributor/supplier relationship that have been this long," says Cary Oliver, vice president and director of HiRel strategic marketing at Avnet. "I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the first distributor supplier relationships."
