Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co., the Los Angeles-based processing distributorship conglomerate, is buying Precision Strip of Minster, Ohio, a metals processing company with eight locations in the Midwest and the Southeast. Precision Strip processes carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel products on a toll basis, processing the metal for a fee, without taking ownership of the metal.
This company has facilities in Kenton, Middle-town, Minster and Tipp City, Ohio; Anderson and Rockport, Ind,; Bowling Green, Ky., and Talladega, Ala. Precision Strip's customers include steel and aluminum mills as well as companies in the automotive, appliance, metal furniture and capital goods industries.
