* Lighter, thinner notebook personal computers are pushing laptop sales ahead of desktop sales. To support these new laptop PCs, Intel has a new Centrino chip bundle that includes Pentium M, a new processor that conserves energy better than earlier notebook chips, and a wireless module, a new product category for the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chipmaker.
