* General Motors has a campaign underway to become the world's safest automaker thanks to the use of high-technology systems. The world's biggest car manufacturer will install OnStar communications hardware and StabiliTrak electronic stability control on all retail vehicles sold in the U.S. and Canada by 2010, regardless of price. OnStar currently is standard in one-third of GM vehicles. StabiliTrak currently is in 20% of GM's sports utility vehicles.
