Buyers look for value from electronics distributors.

By James Carbone Electronics buyers who purchase components from distributors, but don't insist on services such as distributor managed inventory, tape and reeling, special packaging and labeling are leaving money on the table. Distributors are more than ever willing to provide these and other value-added (VA) and supply chain services if it means winning new business or growing business with existing customers.
Some distributors see providing such services as a matter of their own survival.
