Kyocera Expands Solar Cells.(Brief article)

By Staff Kyocera finally has the supplies it needs to triple annual solar cell capacity in the next four years to keep up with demand and competitors. After a two-year shortage of solar-grade silicon, Kyocera now has supply contracts for enough silicon to feed its expansion, including a $165 million expansion of production of raw solar cells at its Yakkaichi, Japan plant by early 2011.
