Two vacuum equipment suppliers suggest techniques to simplify the International Organization for Standardization's 9001 registration process. They advise firms to increase the involvement of management to ensure quality control and quality assurance in the organization's operations.

The increasing emphasis on quality is mirrored in the growth of ISO 9000 registrations over the past several years. ISO registration has become the accepted standard for measuring an organization's quality management program.
