Minimizing govt. paperwork.(Brief Article)

The U.S. House of Representatives has recently passed several relief measures aimed on reducing the federal paperwork and regulatory burden imposed on small businesses. A study by the Office of Advocacy has shown that companies with fewer than 20 employees experience an estimated annual regulatory compliance burden of $6,975/employee (year 2000 data)--nearly 60% higher than the $4,463 estimated for large firms with more than 500 employees. The measures are now up for Senate review.
