CONSUMER CONFIDENCE
Larger-than-normal tax rebates and bonus checks are balancing out
factors such as rising gas prices, a poor stock market, a weak
labor market, and the war in Iraq. Consumer confidence fell in March,
but only by an insignificant amount.
