S.A. Davis & Associates is a true design/build firm with offices in Los Altos, California and in the Sierra foothills. Its founder, Scott Davis, is both a licensed architect and general contractor. "My firm offers creative design ideas that are grounded within the cost-realities of construction," he explains. "That is a bit unique and allows us to allocate resources appropriately, which makes our clients very happy."
The market served by S.A. Davis & Associates is also a bit unique. Land is expensive, scarce and densely developed which makes housing prices very high. So when the Dyer family contacted Scott to do an extensive remodel of an existing 1950's ranch-style home, he was not surprised by the project parameters.
