Wireless telemetry, or automated reading (AMR), will gain huge ground in the next three years revenue expected to more than double from $11.6 bill in 2006 to $25.3 billion by 2009, Juniper Research says. As businesss realize the operational benefits and efficiency savings of real-time data monitoring, the market will further expand to $40.8 billion by 2011. Despite this potential, current growth has been restrained; as M2M projects are long-term investments that take years to initiate.
