A 55-year-old black male presented with ocular hypertension and a significant history of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). His initial evaluation was unremarkable, but his systemic history may reveal a predilection for the development of glaucoma.
Exam Findings
This patient initially presented as a new patient for a standard ocular evaluation. Although his own ocular history was unremarkable, he has a brother with glaucoma. This patient's medications include atenolol, Dyazide (triamterene/hydro-chlorothiazide, GlaxoSmithKline), Plavix (clopidogrel, Bristol-Myers Squibb), lisinopril, Pravachol (pravastatin, Bristol-Myers Squibb), and Nexium (esomeprazole, Astra-Zeneca).
