The number of individuals with allergy is increasing, and millions are already affected, experiencing the itchy red, swollen eyes of allergic conjunctivitis. Thus, the treatment of allergy is fast becoming a more central component of our practices. Clinical studies have shown that topical disease, such as allergic conjunctivitis and rhinoconjunctivitis, is best treated topically. A myriad choices are available for anti-allergy medication, but olopatadine has long been considered the gold standard amongst ocular allergy medications.
