Specialty Coffee Retailer, December, 2001
Seattle-based Starbucks Coffee Company in October announced two more country expansions. On October 4, the company signed a joint-venture agreement with KarstadtQuelle Group to open retail locations in Germany. KarstadtQuelle Group is Europe's largest department store and mail-order company. The first store is scheduled to open in Berlin in early spring 2002.
