Specialty Coffee Retailer, January, 2002
Van Houtte Inc., Montreal, has announced the acquisition of Coffee Brew Services, Ltd., Calgary, Alberta, a leading office coffee operator. Coffee Brew Services was founded more than 20 years ago by Danny Leach and has $4 million in revenue annually.
The company will be a stand-alone operation of Van Houtte, and will continue to service its customers under the Coffee Brew Services, Ltd., name. Ron Thorgeirson, Coffee Brew's general manager, will continue to manage the operation, and existing staff will remain.
