El Quetzal, one of the coffee farms from which San Francisco Bay Coffee Company, San Leandro, Calif., purchases its coffee, is home to some of the world's most impoverished people. Workers on the Nicaraguan farm often live in drafty tin shacks without running water. In order to work toward remedying this situation. San Francisco Bay Coffee has committed to helping to raise the standard of living through its "Source Aid" Development Program. This program contributes continuous aid to the community in order to improve living conditions, while also protecting the community's natural environment.

More than 18 projects in the last year have been funded through "Source Aid" including building homes and medical facilities, and providing teachers. doctors and nurses....
