This book is a solid, concise, general history of the relations between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples in Canada from contact to the present. The revised edition is essentially unchanged from the 1989 original, except for the addition of an epilogue in which Miller discusses the events of the momentous Canadian "Indian summer" of 1990 in the context of the themes of his book.
