If I wrote here that Microsoft employees were expected to have regular intercourse with their superiors, doubtless you would expect news of a sexual-harassment suit. But I'm writing this on the Microsoft Word software program, and, according to its built-in thesaurus, intercourse can mean only one thing--"communication"--which is hardly against the law. Microsoft's management is off the hook. Its whitewashed thesaurus, however, whose 222,000 words are purged of any sexual content, is not.
