Anyone who doesn't believe America is a land of opportunity should check out the case of David Bunning, who until a few weeks ago was an assistant U.S. attorney in eastern Kentucky. According to the American Bar Association, Bunning's career didn't rise to the level of the breathtaking. His legal writings, concluded one ABA investigator, "read very much like the work of a young associate."
