LAST YEAR THERE WERE ABOUT AS MANY visits to national parks as there are people in America: nearly 280 million, according to the National Park Service. But along with the mountains, forests, monuments and exhibits, visitors could be seeing a lot of crumbling buildings, unstudied artifacts and trails in disrepair.
