AS AN ARIZONA VOTER working in the clean-money movement, I am compelled to respond to Ellen S. Miller and Nick Penniman's piece "The Road to Nowhere" [August 12].

The authors write from the perspective of those who have not left the Beltway in years. I invite them to visit Arizona and experience the positive impact of these reforms on this election and the voters. In doing so, the authors could speak to some of the 144 candidates running clean, including seven of eight gubernatorial candidates.
