I THINK OLD KEN SILVERstein has been selective in his use of sources in "No War for Oil!" [August 12, 2002]. I agree that conspiracy theories run rampant in some publications and on Web sites, but the nonconspirators far outweigh the conspirators.

For those willing to do research that extends beyond The Wall Street Journal and those business hacks reachable by telephone, the Internet provides access to hundreds of trade publications whose business is to track specific industries.
