WE'VE BEEN HEARING MUCH talk lately about the "great divide" between Europe and the United States but very little about one defining difference: Europe doesn't have a Creationist problem. Back in 1999, though, there was great overseas merriment after the Kansas Board of Education decided to excise evolution from its state science curriculum.
