THE AMERICAN PROSPECT'S special report "Bringing Human Rights Home" [October] deserves praise for linking core concepts of international human rights to U.S. domestic policy. However, it was guilty of a major omission: namely, its inattention to whether American workers enjoy the fundamental freedom to join labor unions and engage in collective bargaining.
