THERE ARE TWO FLAWS that should not be overlooked in John B. Judis and Ruy Teixeira's otherwise enlightening analysis of voting patterns in the 2004 presidential election ["Movement Interruptus,' January]. First, the authors' conclusion that "the key to [George W.] Bush's victory was reviving [Ronald] Reagan's support among the white working class" is based in part on a mistaken assumption that white voters without college educations, who voted relatively heavily for Bush, belong to the working class.
