I COMMEND THE AMERICAN Prospect for including a special report on juvenile justice ["Breaking Through"] in the September issue. This is an important subject that is commonly ignored by the media. The article by Ellis Cose points to the disturbing fact that juveniles who are African American (as well as other minority groups) are over-represented in the system.
