Prospect readers might recall the fumingly irate letter to the editor that Congressman Brian Baird of Washington sent a few months back in response to Robert Kuttner and Asheesh Siddique's feature story on sell-out Democrats. That piece, Baird wrote, "epitomizes much of why the left loses elections and has stayed in the minority for more than a decade now." We're far from alone in suffering the wrath of Baird's mighty pen.
