Rep. Jim Ryun, a Kansas Republican, introduced a bill (H.R. 5360) in the House on September 10 that would allow a credit against income tax for the purchase of hearing aids. Ryun, the former world champion in the mile run and an Olympic medalist, wears hearing aids for a hearing loss he has had since childhood.
