Product Liability--CT H. 5731 (Joint Judiciary Committee) prohibits the admissibility of evidence of subsequent remedial measures in a products liability claim. The bill was introduced on March 11 and referred to the Joint Committee on Judiciary.
MARYLAND
Several environmental bills passed the Maryland legislature before its final adjournment on April 8.
MD H. 291 provides for owners or operators of facilities required by the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) to submit information to the state to pay an annual fee, not to exceed $1,000 in a calendar year regardless of the number of facilities owned or operated.
